Sunday off day.
So monday i did a steady 3 hour ride with a couple of small hills. Good ride overall, felt great.
Tuesday evening my legs still felt a little soar from the long ride the day before so i decided to do a recovery ride on my rollers and watch tv.
Wedn i had a fast group ride in the evening and i felt horrible, high HR and legs had nothing in them for my pulls, i was still strong as i could sprint, but i didn't have any gas to sustain any efforts.
Now i have a theory, usualy for my recovery rides i set my mag unit on the rollers to the lowest setting, spin at what ever my legs feel like doing and gear to something that puts me at my recovery power. Today that gave me a steady torque of 7. I checked and on tuesday i had the mag unit turned up from a previous workout and forgot to reset it, and avg torque was 8.5, and my legs, perticularly thigh's did feel really soar after the recover ride.
So my question, could having the mag unit set to high for a recovery ride up the torque and thus make the recovery ride a little harder on my legs if i wasn't used to it? Or where my legs still soar from the 3hr solo/steady ride i did on monday and i should have just done a shorter recovery ride, or non at all on tuesday to be rested for the group ride on wedn?
