fwiw my wife's Cannondale Synapse Carbon has a conspicuous warning sticker recommending 5-7 nM / 44-60 in-lbs. -

Thank you Bob. But I don't think I'll tighten it quite that much. I got it up to about 20 in/lbs and started getting pretty nervous. Thanks. -

you should be safe at 5nm. If it feels tight before that, id stick with instinct
