Was just reading an article in the America TRI magazine and they had an article ranking the top 50
triathlon races. Interesting read but not sure what criteria they used and was interested to hear
what people in this group thought.
My motives are 2 fold ... 1) good discussion 2) I'm planning on an IM race in 04:
Some criteria I would use:
Venue/Course Weather (general for that area at that time) Participation (fans, volunteers)
Organization Cost
What is your top 5?

For me, with out question Roth in Germany. I have done 12 IMs and Roth w/out question is my
favorite. The weather is a bit unpredictable; but, since I can't control weather I don't worry about
it anyway.

IM New Zealand Ultramax (Lake of the Ozarks, MO)
Roth is on my short list of "to-do" races.
