Too Much Rim Tape?

No, I seriously doubt that your bar tape has anything to do with your poor tube performance.😄

Did you apply the Continental rim tape over the Campy tape? This is just speculation, but this might have left small spaces around the rim that could pinch a tube causing a flat.

If you removed the Campy tape, check to ensure that all of the nipple heads are covered by the new tape, and check for a small rim defect that might have been covered by the old tape but is not covered by the new tape.

I must apologise. I'd been awake for a long time. I will check to make sure if there is any room to pinch. Both punctures have been snakebites too.
