  1. I want to try Alton Brown's fried tofu (it will have
marinated in shery vinegar and W'chester Sauce). What will
make a good side dish? - Mike

I learned this from "From the Earth", a veggie cookbook, and
it pairs very well with tofu: Put a T of peanut oil in a hot
wok, fry a T of preserved black beans (soaked in plenty of
warm water a few minutes and squeezed dry) in it, some
garlic, stir for a minute, and then added a **big** mound of
sliced romaine. Then I added a pinch of salt and sugar and
some soy sauce, and have it al dente. Recently I've been
putting a dried Tein Tsin pepper in the hot oil. For 3
cloves garlic and a T of preserved black beans I'd use at
least 6 cups of raw romaine. blacksalt

  3. sauté some snow peas..sm amt of oil. toss in garlic if you
like..course..that is my side of choice with everything of
late...snow peas quickly stir fried with garlic. I add the
garlic after the snow peas fyi

Steamed or stir fried snow peas, for one idea.
