Hey i just bought my first bike in about 12 years and it has toe clips which i would prefer not to use. i noticed they are installed behind the reflector with two screws. how do i pop the reflector off without breaking it? also is this how i would remove the clips? thank you in advance for helping a noob =P

A lot of the reflectors are snap in, which means you either find a way to compress the "snaps" (with needlenose pliers or two 'sharp and pointy' tools) and gracefully push them out or you do what most do and jam a flat blade screwdriver down the back of them and pry.
If you do go the screwdriver route then remember the screwdriver probably costs more than the reflector so you don't want to go bending it 😉
That said, some reflectors are screwed in - in which case using the above methods you'd be screwed. Literally.

haha. ya they are clips but there is a screw going through the clip making it expand. can the actual reflector be taken out of its plastic housing?

ok i got it. the actual reflector itself comes out, not the house it sets in. just pop it out with a flat head screw driver and unscrew the two screws behind it... hope this helps someone else lol
