Let's hope the man who spouts stuff like: "I would suggest
to the CTC that if they want to be taken seriously they
should change their policies and their leadership" loses his
seat at the next election. Looking at the 2001 figures, it's
possible. I used to think the Tories were the pro-motorist
anti-cycling mob, but now I'm not so sure.

The way Martlew lashed out in all directions against anyone
who dared to use reasoned argument against him illustrates
just what a nasty piece of work he is. He thought he'd found
a nice uncontentious winner to make his reputation with.
Instead it has destroyed his credibility entirely. I would
suggest to his constituency party that if they want to be
taken seriously they should change their candidate.
