  1. I just bought a Trek 7000 Hybrid (http://www2.trekbikes.com/bikes/bike.php?bikeid=1310000&f=25), with 27.5" wheels. This makes the bike a little bit too big for me, as I can touch the groung with only my tiptoes when seated. I tought I could just buy smaller tires so went into a bike shop today and they told me I'd have to buy a new bike, that putting smaller tires on it is not possible. Is this true? They were pretty rude and unprofessional anyway so I left, so I want to get my advice elsewhere. Can I do anything about this??

  2. I think you are not set up properly on the bike.

    It goes like this:
    Seat is to pedals as
    Top tube is to ground.

You are not supposed to touch the ground when on the seat.

Using your existing wheels, you can reduce the tyre profile by fitting 700cX28mm Tyres. I sugest Conti Ultra Gator Skins or Sport Contact. 😉
