  1. is there a specific mileage range at which road bike tires should be replaced? This probably varies depending on the tire... I still have the stock Schwalbe Lugano tires that came on my CAAD10. 750 miles and they look fine...

  2. Nope. How long the tires last depend on tire construction, the rider, and the roads on which the tires are used. It's better to judge tire wear by tire condition. Some riders toss tires when they tread gets squared off. I don't. Some riders replace tires when threads show. If you get cuts all the way through the casing, it's a good idea to replace the tire. If you're missing large chunks of rubber, it's probably time to replace the tires.
