Tire Pressure at TdF

Legeay, head of Credit Agricole, when asked, said they were
at 8-8.5 bars for normal conditions. Most likely a little
less for cobbles and wet, windy conditions.

During yesterday's telecast, my wife and I were astonished
at Paul Sherwin's dumb comment that the racers have their
tire pressures at 100 psi, as though that were an unusually
high tire pressure. We put 100 psi into the tires before we
would ride to the grocery store. I would be surprised if the
Tour riders don't put 120 psi into their tires........
perhaps more than 120.

But then we think that Paul Sherwin often makes strange
comments, sometimes Phil Liggett will correct him.
