I was reading a link that was posted to ZIP rims about the aerodynamics of a rim, with in that article it said that tire pressures over 120psi actually can slow you down. They never really gave an explanation as to why. Why is this?

It's the weight of all that extra air crammed in there. 😉 -
It supposedly has to do with road surface -- lower pressures are faster on rough surfaces. There was an article on the Velonews website awhile back on this topic.

Who's to say whats too rough and smooth enough? How do ya rate the surfaces we ride on? I think where i ride is pretty fair but for all i know,its the worst or the best.
