Whats the point of creating elaborate promotional materials for Zwift group rides when most people just join whatever ride happens to be starting at the time they log in? Is it really worth spending hours crafting the perfect event description, designing eye-catching graphics, and posting about it on every social media platform when the majority of riders are just going to click on whatever ride is most convenient for them?

Are we really reaching new riders with our promotional efforts, or are we just preaching to the choir and wasting our time? And whats the best way to track the effectiveness of our promotional efforts anyway? Should we be focusing on metrics like RSVPs, actual attendance, or something else entirely?

And while were on the subject, whats the deal with all the Zwift group ride Facebook groups and Discord servers? Are they really necessary, or are they just duplicating effort and creating more noise in an already crowded online space? Wouldnt it be more effective to focus on promoting rides through Zwifts built-in event calendar and letting people discover them organically?

Ive seen some groups using giveaways and other incentives to try and attract more riders, but does that really create a sustainable and engaged community in the long run? Or are we just creating a bunch of freeloaders who are only there for the free stuff?

Is there a better way to promote Zwift group rides online, or are we all just stuck in a cycle of creating more noise and competing for attention in an increasingly crowded space?

The effort invested in promotional materials for Zwift group rides seems redundant if most riders prioritize convenience over curated experiences. It's crucial to assess the effectiveness of these efforts in attracting new participants, rather than simply catering to existing enthusiasts. Perhaps a more data-driven approach, tracking engagement metrics and ride participation, would help determine the ROI of these promotional endeavors. What metrics do you think would be most indicative of success in this context?
