  1. Has anyone ever signed up to this pay web site. On the surface it looks
OK, but was wondering what the depth of info is underneath, I.e. is it
any better than you get in here for nothing?

A web site that charges ... charges for what? All web sites should be
    free...

If you are interested in Munros then the following is completely free and
    always will be!

Just had a quick look at it - certainly in the walking arena, they don't
offer anything that you can't get elsewhere on other web sites which
    don't charge.

For example, Munro's were mentioned. Here's one :

    http://www.munromagic.com

and for Scotland in general :

    http://www.walkingwild.com/

    All free!

I would suggest not paying anything to timeoutdoors for walking
information. I certainly wouldn't. If you have any specific questions
regarding walking, this ng is excellent for starters and Google is my
best friend for all web (and news) walking resources. Never failed me
yet, and not a pay in sight (sic)

    Cheers,

    Steve

My thinking exactly, hence the question just in case there was something
really good under the mediocre covers. From the responses so far, I'd
guess what you see on the surface is pretty much what you get
underneath. Credit card staying well and truly in the wallet (apart
from the new year sales, of course!)
