  1. well yesterday i set a new pb for a ten mile time trial on a rolling course the hills were'nt fierce merely lots of them well anyway the time i set was 24:52 min which i'm really pleased about and ive only being training seriously since january this year only 18 as well plenty of time to improve anyway what makes it more special is my times the previous weeks last week i did it 26:15 min and the week before that 26:55 big difference. The way i managed to do this is through lactate threshold reps where you go as fast as you can for 5 minutes and then have 3 minute recoverey then repeat for four times it helps you learn how to ride in the zones needed for doing a good time trial. When i was doing the time trial i looked at my heart rate monitor a few times and it was scary my heart rate was up at 192 bpm and my threshold is around 175 bpm. To sum it what i'm saying is to ride a good time trial do the lactate threshold reps and don't look at the heart rate monitor because it will be scary what your heart rate is up to
