At the risk of fanning the flames of the ongoing TI discussion, I have decided that I want to give it a try.
So, could someone who is "pro" TI tell me which book I should get. I am a recreational/fitness lap swimmer, not a triathlete, so I would prefer a book that covers all the strokes, not just front crawl (right now I mostly swim breaststroke, although if my crawl was more efficient and not so tiring, I might swim more of it).
The book on the website (swimming made easy) is not available from amazon. Does anyone know why?
I'm not a Pro. The TI book I have is by Terry Laughlin and John Delves, title is "Total Immersion"

The latest four stroke book is SME or Swimming Made Easy. It contains drills and progression to full stroke on all four main strokes. The TMSE is purely front crawl and is meant more for triathlon swimmers. The reason the new TI books are not on Amazon, or as far as I have seen any book store, is unknown to me. I do know alot of books stores still carry the older TI book, yellow and blue cover, "Total Immersion a Revolutionary new way to swim"(I believe this is the title) and I would reccommend not getting that one and get the latest SME or TMSE books.

that the blue and yellow book is coming out in a new edition "real soon now" (specifically June or July, which must mean Maglischo time, since it's not out yet). Luckily, I sold my copy of the old one on Amazon marketplace the other month.
The "Swimming Made Easy" book is in fact on Amazon right now.
