  1. Helo all, I just had my thyroid gland taken out last Sept. I want to know if there is anyone out there who also had a complete thyroidectomy and how you are doing with your cycling activity. At the moment, my fitness had dropped considerably and noticably. Not because of missing saddle time for just two weeks. But I could tell that I cannot push myself like I did before. WHen I hit my HR zone 3, I have a hard time breathing and don't have the energy to push the gear. I was only off the bike for two weeks after surgery, and rode my rollers for spinning. I did rollers for 3 weeks and hit the road again. Any advice, comment, or some direction will be appreciated. "Keep those pedals turning and the rubber side down".
