  1. Thanks to all who answered my recent questions about fitting one of
    these. Finally got round to it at the weekend, and the installation
    was a much easier job than I'd anticipated. Cane Creek isn't a brand
    I've dealt with in the past, but am very impressed with the smoothness
    of the bearings (and this is on a *secondhand* headset, which bodes
    well for the quality/longevity). Complete bike to follow when I'm next
    back home (Christmas, probably)!

    I run a Cane Creek Alloy aheadset on my mountain bike. It's lasted about
    five years and god only knows how many miles, virtually all off-road and the
    vast majority under competition circumstances.

    I'd say they have a good life expectancy so far, and there's little sign of
    any play, slop, notchiness or otherwise imminent failure .. 😉
