  1. In the process of building another bike and have an extra williams 30 lying around..thinking about mixing it up with a williams 19 for the front to get an even lighter combo. Reason for the mix is the 19's have a weight limit of 170 lbs and I weigh btwn 170-176 throughout the season.

I have no idea how the manufacturers 'stress model' their equipment...wheel could be mounted on a 25 lb steelie or a 15 lb CF which would effectively change the limit. Also don't have any idea on how an overstress manifests itself (taco on a pothole during descent? ouch!)...wonder what my risks are using this mixed bag and if the benefit of a couple hundred grams is worth the 'downside'. Thx!

  2. For racing? Maybe. For a smooth crit or climbing road race over good roads.

For day-to-day riding and training? It's not worth the risk to me. Ohio roads suck too hard to run the flyweight stuff in most cases.

Ref. We're about the same body mass.
