I work at home, so I have to pretend to commute ๐
1. To the two cretinous scumbags who drove straight at me, at speed, in
a twisty lane no more than 2m wide - I hope the next thing you encounter
on one of the bends on that road is not me, but a plough and tractor -
with the plough at about face height. I thought very briefly of staying
in the primary postion, but given that these wallies were driving way
too fast to stop (the first one, a Peugeot, left two bloody great skid
marks in the road before realising I was only a cyclist, so carried on
toward me) I would definately be dead now if I'd done that, so on both
occasions I made a diversion to the hedge.
2. To the one driver who pulled into a passing place to let me pass, on
the same lane as above, thank you.
3. My bike has developed a click - a kind of metallic "snap" sound; just
now and then. It doesn't sound very nice.
4. My average is now consistently over 25kph (except when diverting to
the hedge). Woo Hoo.
5. Despite the occasional drivers of dubious IQ, cycling in Norfolk is
bloody great. I matched speed with a Barn Owl this morning as it
patrolled a field margin. I couldn't have been more than a few metres
from it. It was cool.
