Did you read the article at all? One issue is the course
requirements: For one thing the finish cannot be more than
about 8 miles from the start (30% rule). Another factor is
that if you want to call something the Olympic Trials, there
are restrictions placed on it by the USOC. For instance,
Boston is sponsored by adidas, whereas Nike has a marketing
agreement with the USOC. That is a big problem.
