This pavement does not have a foundation. They should
be using 40 cm of crushed granite, over a compacted
base. That powder under the stones will shift in a
couple years.

Roman Engineers had this down pat.

Roman Engineers had this down pat.

Engineers know it now. You can have your own drive way
done with crushed granite and poured stone tiles or
real stone. Will not shift, crack or heave. Drains a
treat. Municipalities and states will not do it.
