just an observation; after about 10 months without cycling due to knee injuries and waiting lists, for the past couple of weeks I've been commuting to work again. It's not too far, about 12 miles each way through West London, but as I'm now in an office, it's kind of through rush hour traffic.
I've got to say that after a rubbish day the exercise, and the little pleasure of going past lines of static cars belching fumes is very therapeutic. Admittedly all the SMIDSY moments aren't fun, but hey, I'm glad to be back on 2 wheels again!

Agreed - I have to travel from north to south London every day, usually via baker street and down park lane to victoria. Always loads of traffic jams - and I love them!
