BTXA has been shown to exhibit a higher rate of immunogenicity than
Botox or Dysport. After three years of use, on 71 patients, 22,3% of
patients exhibited serum neutralizing activity at 1.6 year (compare to
2-3,5% with classical BTX).
Antibodies developed by patients injected with BTXA provokes treatment
failure. That's mean that obviously not only botulinum toxin rejection
but BTXA composition (and component ?).
I noticed the risk is increasing by the administration of higher dose,
like other Botox. However, me and my team made a test with a patient
by injecting double-doses of BTXA. The result was terrific ! First
immunogenic reaction was notified after 7 months!
I assume that the BTXA glabella dose contains 180 to 250% more protein
than classical Botox.
So I recommend to my colleagues to take care about the BTX they use,
that could destroy in the middle term our business ! with maybe legal
issues.. It's safer for us to use US or European products.
Better to pay slightly more and keep the business running !
