Mum & Dad live near PSF territory judging by what they told me, but I
thought it best not to draw this to their attention, not being sure of
Jon's vulnerability to a slabbing. But yes, he did go to see them.

My own dad is no longer surprised when I turn up on a bike, and cheerfully
tells me how fast he (imagines he) used to be. But when asked whether he
was still riding at all at my age (OK, 56) goes very quiet.....

I got a cryptic text message from them this morning. I figured from the
Cambent list that it was probably you they met originally. I would have
liked to have joined you but the 350mile gap and unpleasant stack of
work said otherwise!

I suggested a local-knowledge extension to their guide-book walk, I hope
they enjoyed it.

We had had a really good ride mainly on roads I know well, but with the
twist of Sustrans' new and very good route through Wicken Fen (ahh, I'll
add my usual email sig.....).

Next time you're around and knowing your parents are cyclists and
bent-savvy, why not try to do something? All four of the CBT on
today's ride had grey hair on show, so you'll be the only one out of
fashion. :-)
