  1. Some with particularly cavernous crania may remember that last
year I miffed that the Crown Estates had put down some speed
humps on the business park I work on, and then put bollards
into the gaps between the bumps and the kerb, in order presumably
to stop people using the kerb to drive round them.

Well, it prevented me having any realistic chance of breaking
my previous PB time for cycling to work as one must either
use a pavement cycle path or cycle over the rather severe humps.

However, as of this week, they have been removing all the bollards
and have replaced the humps and the new humps have a much larger
escape area to the side, which means that I can cycle in a
sensible road position without having to deviate at all!

I managed 18 mins, 9s, so now the target has to be sub 18 minutes!

It remains to be seen whether drivers will return to mounting
the kerb on a regular basis. What I hope is that the more
sensible approach of banning vehicles caught doing so from
    the business park is taken.

    Simon
