The puncture gods are becoming desparate

Had an unusual experience on Sunday. I got a puncture . . . . . on my wind
trainer!!
Ok, perhaps there were extenuating circumstances. I had just put an old tyre
on the back wheel the night before, so that I would be wearing out an crappy
tyre instead of a good one. I found a thorn in the tyre when I repaired the
tube, I am guessing that the old tyre must have already had the thorn in it?
Logical reasoning when I stopped to think about it, but it just seemed a
little bizarre at the time I got the puncture!

in a world of 'specificity' you jsut know some wood-duck was gonna do this...

Continental Ultra Sport Home Trainer Tyre
Available now, this ultra durable indoor trainer tyre,
which will be ideal for cyclist who frequently train
indoors through the winter. Thanks to a special cold-
running compound, the tyre won't heat up like a road
tyre, nor will it experience the tread separation that
road tyres are prone to due to the special loads
occurring when cycling on home trainers. Not suitable
for outdoor use.

oh, and stop planting thorny shrubs inside your house! :D

The one I saw was bright safety orange so you can't forget to put the road tire on before venturing out. The "handmade" freaked me a bit.

Hey Carl, are you saying kmart tires are extra hard wearing? Personal experience?
