Can Ebiking be a form of resistance against societal beauty standards that often marginalize and exclude people of larger body types? By embracing Ebikes and the confidence that comes with it, are fat people not only taking charge of their own fitness and mobility, but also challenging the status quo and proving that they can be just as capable, strong, and empowered as anyone else on the road? In other words, can we view Ebikes not just as a tool for transportation or a means to get some exercise, but as a symbol of body positivity and a declaration of self-worth? And if so, how can we, as a community of cyclists, support and amplify this message, while also acknowledging and addressing the systemic barriers that prevent people of larger body types from accessing and enjoying Ebikes in the first place?
