  1. Hello,
As a long time reader/subscriber to TGO magazine I am becoming more than a
little alarmed at its self indulgent manner. The Editor seems to think that
his view is everybodys view. The magazine is so far to the left that it must
be meeting itself on the way back. Winfarms for example. What sane person
would argue that at least this is a start to cleaner air. Whilst
appreciating the fact that there is a long long way to improve, lets at
least try. The Editor gives impresion that he owns Scotland-well bully for
him. Does he know we all have access now? In my opinion I think Scotland is
great but a long way from where I live (approx 650) and so I want more about
elsewhere in the UK-yes home. Building homes for people is a priority in
this country, does the Editor not realize Windfarms are a very minor problem
to 'his' land? Houses in their thousands would be built on all that
wasteland up north if a power in being gets to find out about it! And why
not? It is after all simply wasted land. Why does TGOs Editor shirk his
responsibility as a spoiled inmate of the UK by telling all that no person
other than the tiny minority that read TGO that the land is for them? What
would incomers feel about that when half the population of Glasgow live in
what can only be called slums? TGO in my opinion should get of its lefty
bandwagon by removing a spoilt Editor for one who would write for what
readers want, and that is Outdoor equipment, Tents etc and a certain ammount
of travel stories but less of Scotlands barren lands.Politics are not needed
in outdoor magazines. Trail is now my best read including its errors! TGO
needs to wake up its Editor who has now managed to grip it with an iron
    fist.
Please note before shouting that the above is my personal opinion and may
    not be yours.
    Best regards,
    John,..
