  1. Links that I have posted are no longer working properly i.e.I have posted links in threads and they no longer connect. They used to appear in blue text...now they just appear in black text and don't work.
So I'll post a link and see if it works...http://www.i-am-bored.com/im_bored_popular.htm

Nope...any ideas why this has occurred?

  2. Now working, but when I post in the Reply box and attach a link it still appears in black text.
I wish someone would invent a bloody diesel-powered computer...

Steam-powered OK? You'll have to cut 'n' paste...

just make sure you leave a space between your text and your link and a space after it. The php parser code sometimes cannot differentiate between text and urls.

in your post above you are running dots into the front of the url...sometimes these get incorpotated and makes a nonsense url.

  5. I'll just try another.

I think you've nailed it ,Pro.I must have failed to leave a space.
Previously when I posted a link in the reply box,it showed up as blue text (in the reply box) showing that the link had posted OK.Now it shows up in black text so I'm not sure if it will work.
This wonder of modern technology has been misbehaving since I changed keyboards a few weeks ago (coffee spill) and decided to replace the mouse at the same time. The result was that XP won't recognise a microsoft keyboard, microsoft mouse or logitech mouse!I managed to solve the mouse problem by downloading drivers from microsoft but I still have to reinstall mouse and keyboard drivers manually every time I turn the computer on and have had various other minor problems since.
This one is past it's "destroy in fit of utter frustration " date anyway.
I just demolished the garage/workshop and am in the process of rebuilding (if the local council approve the feckin' plans) and don't really have the time to shop around and set up a new computer at the moment but I will take great delight in scrapping this one with assistance from the chainsaw. The hard drive is making funny noises and the last time that happened the computer just self destructed (hard drive just screamed for 5 minutes and the box died)
    Computer...your feckin' days are numbered!
