You have to make a distinction between research people looking into a disease and studying it's
pathophysiology from clinical laboratories treating diseases. I have never seen a request for a
glutathione level in my 28 years of working. Does that answer your question? For treatment purposes
it is usually given to people in an effort to prevent liver damage in overdose drug cases so the
starting level is not important as more is needed anyway.

Insurance cover all lab costs, the problem is it must be medically justified and not just curious
about it. You can not simply pay for it without having a doctor involved.
