  1. ALL spokes support the hub at some point or another. Can't we all
    just get along?

And Bush won. Whether he won or not, he won, despite my pagan prayers
and seventeen votes (no, that was a joke, I did NOT commit voter
fraud). Maybe because I wasn't praying to the right god? Or gods?
Or maybe his god can beat up my god? Mine doesn't talk directly to me
like his does, does that mean he is the chosen one? Yog-sogoth, you
    let me down!!!

And this country is in a HUGE hole. Gotta raise that debt ceiling
beyond 7.4 TRILLION dollars. What are we doing to fix it? Oh, yeah,
cutting taxes. That has done such a good job so far, why not cut
more? As the administration said, it's not the tax cuts that cause
the deficits, it's the spending. Oh, so true. It all makes sense now.
Whack me in the head with that headset press again Mr. Hickey, yeah,
    that feels better.

He's a uniter, not a divider - at least until people need to agree
with him in order for unity of opinion to occur. It's more of a
theoretical sort of unity, one based on sharing the same geographic
and national space, rather than any sort of common ground. But we're
united, you know, the United States. Well, somewhat united, there's
the United States of Nascar and the Other United States.

He goes on gut instinct - oh so effective as gut instinct is, in
essence, lower brain response. You know, the id, the hindbrain, which
generated such winning strategies as, "Me hungry", "I have to pee now"
and "Wake up honey, I'm drunk and horny." OK, in the "fight or
flight" response, I think he chose the better choice but damn, man,
how about engaging the cerebrum every now and then? Think of it, for
any issue, there is a whole spectrum of possible action out there!

But that's OK because he has chosen to surround himself with people
who are of varied opinions and will provide options for action upon
which he can apply his ever-so-successful gut instincts and choose the
best course of action. Such winners as "tax cuts always good", "body
and vehicle armor bad" and my personal favorite (and oh so true),
"decent education good, pay for it bad".

    g. daniels for president - his policies would be at least as sensical
and effective as the current administration.

App, sadly. Hey, the Republicans had to win one sooner or later - but
did it have to be such a [censored]?
