Any recommendations for good tea stops within an hour and a half or so of Dundee? I'm startign to do some longer (for me) rides out through Strathmore and becoming in need of a little refreshment so was wondering whether anyone would share the location of good tea stops. Preferably ones that are open earlyish on Saturdays.

Nothing obvious in Coupar Angus, but Blairgowrie has a selection and there's a nice pub in Meikleour just up from the beech hedge that does tea and toasties. Strathmore Arms in Glamis is good, and does a good size of lunch as well as snacks and a brew. The JG's diner on the dualie at the Inchture junction does a fair egg roll and tea, and the Smiddy in Errol has often allowed welcome respite. Pubs may or may not be open according to one's definition of "earlyish" of course, but best way to be sure of respite is take a flask and some nibbles.
