    I've just bought a £4.99 bar bag in Tchibo (fahrrad-lenkertasche - mit
    praktischer klickhalterung) It seems OK to me.

    I don't know if they one of this week's specials, available everywhere
    or just exists in the Hounslow Branch as I can't see them on the website.

    It seems OK. quick release, map pocket, main bit with movable divider,
    separate pocket (about the right side for a medium banana) and
    elasticated mesh bits each side. It also has a separate (untested!)
    rain cover and a shoulder strap.

    No cycling gear in the Surrey Quays branch.
    You must have been just lucky.
