  1. Those of us in the free world should all write our congressmen that bikes are more environmental then cars.

    I think anyone biking to work should get a tax break.

    And if they won't go for that at least we can make things more bike friendly.

    How many people here have ever pestered their congrssman?

    I've done it before and I'll do it again.

    Perhpas if we tell them we will help them get re-elected!!!

    Not likely to happen. You would have more success lobbying your representitive for less taxation for rich people. What will actually happen is that Oil prices will continue to rise, as will the Tax levied on Oil. Bikes *do* burn a fair amount of oil in their manufacture at the moment and of course tranporting the components around the world burns some oil too.

  3. The tax break comes when your comuting to work on your bike, pull up at a stop light next to an SUV & a Gas station and realize you saved a gallon of gas by riding your bike.
    Just for giggles, catch the eye of the SUV owner & point to the gas price sign. 😄
