  1. I've just received this on a couple of local mailing lists. I'm quite
tempted to do this as my first audax:

Now would be a good time to get your Tasty Cheddar applications in.

It starts at the Bristol Create Centre on Saturday 1st October at 9:00,
finish at the Nova Scotia pub at your leisure.

    Entry forms available here:-
    http://www.audax.uk.net/cal/entform9.php?Ride=418

Cost is only £4.00, however if you don't have 3rd party insurance by
being a member of either AUDAX, CTC or BCF then you will need to pay an
    extra £1.00

Return the form to me together with cheque made payable to 'J Prosser'
and 2 SAEs. The envelopes are to send you a route sheet and return your
Brevet card once validated by the AUDAX police.

For full details, including the route, visit:-
    http://www.ctcwest.org.uk/bristol/tastycheddar.html

For more info about non-competitive, long distance AUDAX riding visit:-

Done it a couple of times Danny, and it's worth it for the pub at the
finish! But be warned, it does include some serious hills, so not sure how
a bent would cope. Sod it, go for it anyway. Might see you at a control.

Serious hills are no problem, as long as I don't eat too big a pub lunch
and then leave insufficient time for it to go down :-P
