I'm considering buying a tandem recumbent. Does anyone have any good advice on what to get? Either under seat steering or above seat steering, I'm not fussy. I'm leaning towards short wheel base just because of the size (I live in Tokyo). For the same reason, I want something that can pack up into a reasonable size box, but prepared to pay for S&S couplings to make it do that. Probably something along the lines of a Rans Screamer would be good. Particularly I am wondering if there are any similar good value European machines out there that haven't come under my radar.
