I was wondering if it is important at all to take day or #? days off when starting out cycling. I started about 1.5 months ago and never really took days off (accept for some rain) cause I just want to ride all the time, even when I'm beat after work or a game eventhough I feel my legs from the day before. I really want to build up my legs so I could go further and faster. I do about 20-25 miles @av. of 15mph in 3-mile laps currently.

Yes, take breaks...
Most racers train 5 or 6 days a week at the most and even then some days are harder and some days are easier.
It sounds like you're approaching it pretty well by taking extra time off when you're very tired or when life gets in the way. But think about at least one total rest day per week and perhaps one day where you ride a bit easier than normal just to keep the legs loose.

Thanks Dave, that's exactly what I was hoping for. One off-day a week and slow down on a couple rides. I never thought I would be so into cycling, but I love it and can't get enough of it. Just wish I could find some people to ride with but for now solo rides are good too.
