Tacx Fortius On Off Switch

I've got a Fortius and had the problem you had as many many other from the US have had. Supposedly the problem has been fixed in the newest firmware. They basically disabled the switching electronics in the power supply that caused the supply to fry when turned off in the wrong syncornized position. I haven't had any problem turning mine on and off now, though I just leave it on. I have it plugged into a separate power supply and FWIW, I'm an EE too.
