Sydney Caravan & Camping Show

We recently went to the Perth C&C Show and came back with
the same opinion. Cycle camping is obviously a small and
specialist market.

Yes there were lots of great ideas for the 4WD set and
their mega-campers all the way up to the Luxo-campers,
lots of fridges,generators etc but not much in the way of
the singleminded camper who likes to travel light, with
the exception of Boots & Kangaroo City who had some
smallish hiking gear.

It would be good to see more of the stuff that hikers and
touring cyclists could use.I'm not complaining mind you,
as I had a good time and picked up

I've never been to it or ilk as I've always understood them
to be for the vehicle based camper.

If you have questions about gear, ask hear and you could
also ask in aus.bushwalking as they have similar interests
in lightweight gear.

But, don't ask them about credit-card touring {:-).

That show seems to target the grey power & family set. You
probably noticed that when you looked around at the
majority of the crowd attending. Anyway you can tour in
comfort knowing that you won't be doing what the "crowd"
is doing. Get out there away from the pack and enjoy the
peace & quiet.
