Americans are sophisticated people and America is a sophisticated society. Back to where I am from,
we used to just pull down the pants and jump into water in underwear and have fun. Before I actually
do that in the States, I'd like to know if that's okay. I don't see much difference between a bikini
underwear and a speecho swimwear other than one being cotton and the other some polyester stuff.

wants to see you swimming and walking around the pool in cotton underwear that would give a similar
result, and possibly even come down when you do a dive or flip-turn. -

part-time lifeguard position at a pool. We were told to meet slightly after closing time. I was
given the directions to the wardrobe and asked to meet up in the pool after changing. So I shower, get into my swimming briefs and get out to the pool. A few minutes later another guy
comes, wearing the swimming shorts most people bathe in. We are told to wait a few more minutes for
the last one.The last guy comes out, a dry, African-looking man, in his dark-green, rather worn out and loose
fitting (non-boxer) underwear, with the unmentionables hanging slightly outside. The lifeguards
looked dumbfounded for a few moments but kept a straight face, and later on we all dove in.If the underwear-guy's performance was anything to judge by, underwear is not the ideal
swimming garment.--

Something I've tried that works pretty well is pulling down my speedo before using the toilet. Same
trick works for underwear. My guess is that more than a few folks are also into this inside
knowledge, so who cares if you're coming from the toilet when you dive in the pool?- Al
