Hello. Certain foods that are sweetened can have an affect

"It depends". Sorbitol, for example, has similar calories to
sugar but is processed much more slowly and in the gut, so
it doesn't rot your teeth like sucrose does or give the
harsh blood sugar kick. Also, many of us unaware of the
problem tend to cheat and eat things that have sweetener and
are marked "diabetic" or "dietetic" and not realize how much
sugar and simple carbohydrate remains in them.

Why isn't your dad on insulin now?
