  1. Does anyone else experience or know the cause of the sweet/tingly
taste that lingers on the tip of the tongue? Even water seems to taste
slighty sweet during this time. Does it indicate state of ketosis? Is
this good or bad? Do I need to increase/decrease protien/fat/carb
intake. I am not wanting to lose weight, if anything put on weight in
    the form of muscle.

Bf: 1 raw egg, 4 soft boiled egg whites, avocado, celery stalk, 1/4
    carrot, spinach, misc.

    Ln: Fish and spinach, misc.

Dn: 4 egg whites, 1/2 artichoke, butter, red wine, misc

The taste you describe is typical of ketosis; somtimes described as a
    "metallic" taste.

BTW, why are you on an extreme low-carb/low-calorie weight loss diet if your
    goal is to gain weight?

Both of my parents are borderline diabetics. My cholesterol on a
"normal" diet was 450 (79HDL, 350LDL). On a mostly vege diet, it was
    250 (81HDL, 161LDL). My weight is under 120 lb. Hoping low-carb will
allow me to consume more calories / build muscle without high
    cholesterol.

Why do you want to consume more calories?

FY, my cholesterol dropped from 232 to 188 on low-carb, so there's
definitely hope that it will happen.
