  1. Sweet-Sour Meat Balls

    1 pound ground beef, seasoned with salt (1 tsp) 1 or 2 Tablespoons salad oil (Wesson Oil) 1 cup
    pineapple chucks, drained
    1/2 cup sugar if pineapple is in juice, not in heavy syrup 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce (Kikkoman)
    2/2 cup canned pineapple juice 2 Tablespoons corn starch
    3/4 cup cold water 2 sweet green bell peppers, cored, seeded, cut into strips

    Make meat into bite-size meat balls. Brown in oil and drain. Mix pineapple, peppers, soy sauce,
    pineapple juice, and cornstarch, which has been mixed with the water. Cook about 10 minutes and add
    meat balls. Simmer covered about 15 minutes. Serve over cooked rice (white). Serves 6.
