Often companies with multiple brands will decide that they are competing
with themselves, and that is not good. GM gets away with it, because
divisions market to different segments Chevy (Economy), Pontiac
(Sporty), Buick (I'm poor but wanna look rich), Oldsmobile (markets to
seniors, well named OLDsmobile) and Cadillac (Upscale - although if I
was spending $65,000 on a car, I would buy a Mercedes or a Volvo instead).

The problem Performance has is that they really have three discount
brands, expect that they will clear out a lot of old junk, then reinvent
Performance as a Upscale brand, and keep Nashbar as the discount dealer.

Another possibility, Supergo will die, get reinvented in a couple of
years as a new upscale brand, and Nashbar will die, leaving the New
Supergo as an upscale brand, and Performance as a discount dealer.

Yes. Last year, all the Supergo stores were renamed Performance. I don't
mind the name change that much, but they also changed the store interior to

superb. Wide selection, and the staff loves movies. One

Supergo was the only place I could get the neat stem cap light mount. It's a
good product, and I don't know why they discontinued it.

Pay attention Ozark. With the sales prices Performance has, the prices
are the same or below everyone else. Then take 28% off that and you
easily beat everyone else. By at least 28%. I would think a friction
shifter worshipper would understand getting the lowest price.

Performance has pretty good prices on their house brand clothes, and SOME
accessories. I found that Lickton's was cheaper on a lot of components, and
they're just a li'l bike shop.

I looked at had a carbon fiber Scat-tante frame that was heavier than
its aluminum counterpart with the exact same components and frame size.

Yeah, Lickton's seems to have the best prices anywhere for name-brand
stuff. PerfGoBar is collectively good with one-off copycat products,
like Weyless carbon forks. But if you want a set of shimano hubs, you
can't beat Lickton's, or they'll match and beat it anyway.
