The line is apparently owned by JB Importers of Miami. (Having lived
and done business there, this is, to me, a major warning sign in
itself.) I dare say there's zero chance that the bikes are coming
from anywhere but China or that vicnity. The website at
www.sunbicycles.com is mute as to the actual whereabouts of the
production facility; if it was in North America anywhere, that would
represent a strong selling feature which the maker would definitely
note in the advertising.

That was my thought also, if it was made north of Laredo TX they would be
proclaiming it with banners all over. I bought this one from the local
schwinn dealer here in town. I was going to buy a Schwinn at first but they
too are are made in Asia & marketed by an importer.so it seemed a horse
apeice. So far I really like this Bike, it rides well & appears to be
quality constructed. I was just curious as to its country of origin

Sun Bicycles is a Taiwan Manufacturer, so there you have it. But what
difference does it make if you like the bike, and for all practical
purposes Sun makes a lot of good bikes including the EZ3 series. :-)

Well I do think that American made adds value to an item, but at additional
cost......worth more but costs more. If the Schwinn had been American made I
may have gone that route but alas that isn't the case as their bikes are
also made in China.Had the dealer told me that sun was Taiwanese made I
still would have purchased it. After all every time I see news coverage of
China all the people are riding bikes........presumably made in China. Works
for them. Thanks for the comeback, you have satiated my curiosity
