  1. Don't know 'bout you... but I just got back from the local farmer's
market and was bugged eyed at the fabulous fruits and veggies!

    Summer peak is the best!

Other than the corn, beets, peas and potatoes, I trucked home far
more food that I could possibly eat!... But it all looked so good.

A few years back I made a list of the lower carb fruits and
veggies... and I thought I'd repost it here.

    alfalfa sprouts
    arugula
    artichoke
    artichoke hearts
    bamboo shoots
    bean sprouts
    chard
    collard greens
    dandelion greens
    eggplant
    hearts of palm
    kale
    kohlrabi
    leeks
    onion
    rhubarb
    sauerkraut
    scallions
    snow peas
    spaghetti squash
    summer squash
    asparagus
    bok choy
    broccoli
    broccoli rabe
    brussel sprouts
    cabbage
    cauliflower
    celery
    chicory
    chives
    cucumber
    daikon
    endive
    escarole
    fennel
    lettuce
    mushrooms
    parsley
red, green, yellow and hot peppers
    radicchio
    radishes
    spinach
    string or wax beans
    zucchini

And in moderation these fruits are also lower carb:

    Peaches
    Plums
    Strawberries
    Blueberries
    Avocado
    Cherries
    Raspberries
    Blackberries
    Honeydew
    Cantaloupe

Hope you're having a joyous summer!

  2. The asparagus here has been to die for. I like the pencil thin ones
sauted in a bit of olive oil butter mixture tossed with Mrs Dash tomato
basil and garlic and some sliced pickled garlic( I put cloves in white
vinegar and slice paper thin). YUM!!!!!! My best friend hated asparagus
until she tried mine and now she's buying it!!
