  1. As it turns out one of my fellow workers wants to purchase my Trek commuter that leaves the door open to use my older Cannondale F500 as commuter replacement.
Currently has stock sun rims which look fine but I am comtemplating a new wheel set due to previous use and abuse for 5 yrs (both hubs feel "grindy"😉. Since it will no longer go to dirt, jumping or anything like it what kind of lightweight midrange wheelset do you recommend having in mind that I'd rather have speed over strengh (I am about 145 lbs)

    Thx in advance

  2. X517's are rather inexpensive these days as they lack a reputation for toughness. They are under 400g and narrow enough to work well with commuter tires.

  3. I am using Alex DM18 Rims/Joytech Hubs with Continental Sportcontact Slicks on my 'pocket rocket'. Much better now with the rigid CrMo forks. 🙂
