  1. I am visiting Portrush in late May and looking for
suggestions for some "day walks". 5-6 hours, 10-12 miles max
    - coastal walks, hill walks, open to any suggestions. I'll
have a car so the 10-12 miles does not have to start and
    finish in Portrush.

I look forward to your ideas. Many thanks.

  2. Evan You can go east towards the Antrim Hills for mountains.
Knocklayd is the most northerly of these with fine views
over Rathlin Island and Scotland. You can go southwest to
the Sperrins or west to Donegal in the Republic for walking
on the Inishowen penisula. Most of this is covered in
mountainviews.ie which has info, comments and photos for all
mountains in Ireland. For sea cliffs the coastline is
publicised for the Giants Causeway, which while over-hyped,
nevertheless is interesting to look at and has a fascinating
    geology. -- Simon Stewart www.simonstewart.ie
