Out of curiosity.. Does anyone here know how the TF & co ( sheldonbrown.comsturmey archer.htmlOpen ↗ ) work, as compared to regular threespeeds? Functionally, they sound very similar to an AW (or variant) modded as in sheldonbrown.comawfixed.htmlOpen ↗ . If that is functionally what they are, that might also be where the drawings come from.
What was the point of the non-fixed Ts, anyway? Were they a marketing thing, like, "we'll just strip the High function out of the shifter and remove component X, and then you can get one of our hubs for cheaper"?
