I must have one of the last 5 gear versions. :-)
Question about adjustments or similar. How do I measure(?) and adjust
the knurled gear cable adjustment next to the hub so that all gears
work properly.
Gears number 2 to 5 work fine. Number 5 gear has a slack cable
compared to the other numbers. Gear number 1 for up the hill 1in10
slips out of gear. The cable is really tight.

This is manual for a 5 with brake, but the indicator adjustment is
likely to be the same. Not too long ago, Sturmey had all the manuals
posted on the net, but they've taken them down now. Sadly, this is
just the sort of shoddy support that is typical of most component
manufacturers these days.
